READY TO BOOK YOUR TRIP?
1) Booking Your Flights
For the best and most affordable flights ensure to check out CheapOAir, SkyScanner or Google Flights. These are the websites I use to explore my options and get the best deals.
2) Booking Your Accomodation
To find good accomodation, I recommend starting with Booking.com. They have some of the best rates on the net and their website is awesome, especially when you don't know what you want. If you're after cheap accomodation, I highly recommend Hostelbookers.com, Hostelworld.com or AirBnb.
3) Book a Group Tour
If you're not keen on travelling entirely on your own, why not book a group tour... For tours, my go to sites and operators are Get Your Guide, Tour Radar, G-Adventures & Intrepid tours.
4) Get the Right Travel Insurance
Although many try to skip out on Travel insurance, it's one of the most critical things you'll buy. It helps to protect you against illness, injury, theft, cancellations and anything else that goes wrong on your trip. I never travel without it. If you need guidance on where to start, I suggest checking out comparison websites like Compare Travel Insurance and Compare the Market. For global insurance, you can also check out World Nomads' website.
5) Get Your Travel Gear
Having the right travel gear can help to reduce stress, tears and feeling overwhelmed, especially when travelling solo. There's definitely a fine line between packing too much and packing too little, so you want to be prepared. Click here for my complete list of travel gear that I don't leave home without, regardless of where I'm travelling.
